When the condescending response came in the negative–“Do you guys not have phones?”–social media exploded with rage, and Blizzard immediately attempted to do damage control. Upon the announcement of Diablo Immortal, an upcoming mobile title, fans immediately asked if the game would also be coming to PC, as mobile games aren’t incredibly popular in the west. During Blizzcon in 2018, Principal Game Designer at Blizzard Wyatt Cheng went down in internet history–and not in a good way.
